FAQ

  • What is Montessori education?
Montessori education is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. It values the human spirit and the development of the whole child—physical, social, emotional, cognitive.
  • What are the age groups served at your school?
We serve children from 18 months to 6 years old, divided into two programs: Toddlers (18 months - 2.5 years) and Casa (2.5 - 6 years).
  • How do you handle discipline and conflict resolution?
We use positive discipline strategies that encourage self-regulation and respect. Conflicts are viewed as opportunities for learning social skills, such as negotiation, empathy, and compromise. Our approach is grounded in Montessori methods and Christian principles, focusing on guiding children towards self-correcting and responsible behaviors.
  • What qualifications do your teachers have?
In each classroom, we have a Montessori trained teacher leading the classroom and a Registered Early Childhood Educator supporting the lead teacher. Each staff have their Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Check), as well as their First Aid & CPR C certifications.
  • Are meals provided at the school?
Yes, we provide nutritious snacks and meals prepared onsite. Our menu is designed to promote healthy eating habits and accommodate various dietary requirements. We focus on whole, natural foods, and our meal times are also educational opportunities to learn about nutrition, manners, and thankfulness in a communal setting.
  • What extracurricular activities do you offer?
We offer a range of extracurricular activities including music, art, physical education, and language classes. Our programs are designed to complement the Montessori curriculum, enhancing the children’s learning experience with opportunities for creative expression and physical activity.
  • How do you assess student progress?
We assess student progress through ongoing observations and documentation of their daily activities. Our teachers maintain detailed records of each child’s achievements and challenges, allowing for personalized learning plans and communications with parents about their child's development.
  • What are the school hours and are there before and after-school programs?
Our regular school hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. We also offer after-school programs until 6:00 PM, which include various recreational and educational activities to engage children beyond regular school hours. We also offer care from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM for families who have to get to work early!
  • How can parents get involved?
Parents are encouraged to participate in various school activities, including field trips, workshops, special event days, and community service projects.
